If they are the same type they can touch. If they are different it depends on what type.

I need to go look up thwir names. I can’t even remember if this one was a Favia of a platygyra.

Okay. Here’s some pictures I took with and without the polyp lens.

Google grafted favia, it will give you a good idea of which ones can touch and what will happen, it’s pretty cool.

Wow you got a $5 golden eye chalice too! That’s a steal!
It was literally the first one. And I figured everyone was watching. I guess no one was expecting the first post. I was even walking down the stairs.

No wonder I don't know what it is.... the only name is WWC Graffiti War Coral. Anyone know what kind of coral this is? It's the pink and blue one behind and to the left of the favia .

Thanks for the before and after on the last pair of pics! I have been on the fence about it. (It was a very sturdy fence)

Yeah... I wouldn't say it's totally true to life, as I saw on some Youtube videos... but it's close.... and it definitely takes a picture from being decipherable to looking really nice at times. I also got the V2, so it's only one lens instead of three. Which is nice.

Yea but the more specific species of favia I don’t know the name of. They have to look identical just different colors to be close or touching, otherwise 3-6 inches depending on what type they are. Check them out in the middle of the night to see how long their sweepers can reach.

I'll just put them all on their separate island, as was my original plan.

Nicee. Do you have any that you think are the same exact species just different color morphs? I think it’s cool when they mashup after growing for 6months+. I want to get a gi-joe to graft with my Ultron.

Maybe. I doubt the one that I can’t remember the name for is the same as the other too.... it may be a toxic Favia.... and here I am thinking I think better at night. ;Hilarious

The mesenterial filaments can be deadly and quick. This is my green brain that hemmdog told me is a platygyra ( ;) ). It killed a coral a mile away. Just be careful. I even cut it up into square inch frags and they still had some punch.
