Here's a shot from recently. I have zero complaints about the quality of the tank!

Very very nice..hope mine will look half as good when I finish my build, which I will post shortly. Getting ready to add some water for a leak test. Is your skimmer on the sump floor, or do you have it raised? If so how high is it off of the bottom? And lastly ..did you go with the dorso or herbie systems?

Thanks! My skimmer is on bottom of the sump. Set it on 3.5 and doesn't have overflow issues. I went with Herbie and it's almost dead silent. Good luck!

Thanks for that...how did you figure out the lengths of your siphon and emergency pipes, and how far do you have your main drain pipe below the surface of the sump?

I went with an inch or so below water surface in sump. Kind of guess and check really.

with a few rocks and live sand. I'll let it settle overnight then transfer most of the other stuff from my leaky 28 gallon jelly bean jar ( JBJ ).

Nice return pump. Looks fancy!

What's in your middle sump chamber?

That would be the Vectra S1. In the middle chamber is a bag of marine pure spheres mixed with that biomax media from SCA.

Just thought I'd share a photo of my tank at the 6-month mark. Recently added some "easy" SPS and upgraded to a 32" wide Viparspectra LED (Black box). Also I just set up a RODI system (BRS 5 stage) so I can make my own water.

Looking really good there Subbedout. Nice mixing station. Are you planning to get a booster to add to the RO system? According to BRS Along with better overall performance it's supposed to also cut down on the amount of waste water.

Thanks! A booster? I have great water pressure - 60-65 psi. I was thinking of getting a second membrane to reduce water waste.

Actually I started looking at some vids on YouTube after I saw the prices of those Pax Bellum Arids.
I went back to dosing 2 part, so I just used my 2 little fishes kalk stirrer, and some strip grow LEDs from e bay.

https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/1-4-aquatec-8800-booster-pump.html

Both will help with saving more water. I believe I read somewhere that the ideal psi is about 85? If you add that extra membrane, you might need the added pressure.
