After 11 years hiatus from the hobby. I'm happy to be back. As I enjoy my 20g cube. I'm starting my SCA 66g 32X24X20 build. Tech has advanced by leeps and bounds since I left lol. Not sure of all the gear I'm gonna go with yet. But since I have rock. J should document the different aquascape to reference to when I'm ready to set it up. Any tips and help is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks guys!! Tidy up the 30g cube and added dosers for 2 part. Used up every inch under the cabinet. Finally done with the 30g for now lol. Also got the 66g sca cabinet painted bright white and now to play with rocks again. Will take my time building out the 66g and will most likely trick ot out with the apex line and ecotech pumps and power heads. Planning to build side cabinets on each side. Left side will be 28"x12"x35" to house a 24"x10"x12" ATO res on bottom and a 24"×10"x8"x" frag tank that will drain into main sump (not 100% on this frag tank idea yet but it sounds good in theory). On the right side will be 28"x8"x35" and will house all my electronics such as the apex and vortech controllers. Not in a big rush to get this set up as I want to do it right the 1st time but we know how that goes lol. Thanks for watching my thread and wish me luck haha.

So I am debating on the trigger 20c symp with the fleece roll. Almost $200 off right now. Is it worth spending the extra money on the fleece roll system or better to put that extra money somewhere else like a couple mp40qd?

A little update. Today I splurged a bit. Got a bunch of things ordered and the Apex Neptune controller, Dos and DDR. Got 2 Radion xr15 pro, radion light mounts, vortech m2 return pump, 2 mp40qd and RO 150SSS protein skimmer. Now I think I just need to decide to either get the Trigger 20c platinum sump or just use the sump I got and buy a algea scrubber. Help me decide on that piece. It's pretty much the only thing I need to decide on and I can start building the cabinet to house all the gear.

Went to Home depot and got a 30"x 30" x12" cabinet. Will put in a false back about 4.5" from the back wall to hide all the wires run my ac wires in from one side and my dc power opposite of it to minimize electrical interference. Will paint it white to match the display and will sit perpendicular to the tank. Should I put the door back on or leave it open to show the gear?

This looks like a great set up! I personally would go with the algae scrubber but I've heard great things about the trigger sumps. I think it all depends on what you are looking for since the roller mats are great for pulling stuff out before it really has a chance to break down in the tank. If you plan on having a heavy stock and feeding schedule I would go with the trigger sump though.

Yeah I'm having a difficult time deciding which way to go. Does anyone have any ideas of Pros and cons on maintenance on each system way?
On the other hand I got the aluminum angle bar in for the false wall and placement of the apex system. I will be getting another energy bar, dos and ddr for the other side. What you guys think of the layout of the apex?

Of course I'm gonna paint my grommets and screws orange. Haha. Man all this for a 66g lol. I'm beginning to say I should just order that 60x30x22 glass cage display lol.

Love that technique, saw it on BRS. Ill be doing that if I upgrade to a bigger tank.

Yeah I think I got a few good ideas for the layout of the scape. Will try my best to maximize good water flow throughout with lots of open space for fish to swim in and around of but still have good placements for corals.

While the paint dry on the cabinet. I smashed up about 100# of dry rock and got pieces that should help make a decent aquascape. Just waiting on glue and mortar to deliver.

Got the apex cabinet painted and cable holes cut out. Starting to come together nicely.

Got the cabinet all painted and have the layout for the apex and ecotech gear. One thing I forgot to think about is the Radion light transformer. Do anyone know the dimensions of it? I have a gen1. Is it the same size?
