Thanks. I spend more time at work than at home so I put it there. Plus the weight of tank needed a concrete slab to sit on.

This is my 3 rd attempt at keeping an elegance coral. The first one was an Indonesia version and quickly died. My second attempt only lasted a couple weeks but it was an Aussie one. I did have a twin spot that wrasse that kept flipping it over so maybe it got irritated and died. Hopefully this will be the one. Put in moderate light and low to moderate flow in sand bed. Wishing for good luck.

I am finally seeing some nitrate in my tank. It has been mostly below .25 since setup and now i am reading 3-4 ppm. I am going to continue watching it but I think I like that I have some nitrate now. If it continue to climb i think I will try to add so marinepure media to sump to see if i can keep it stable. I see some other nice sps tanks running 10-15 ppm with great success and little algae.

Hoes does the goni handle the two clowns? I've heard about clowns killing them but it looks like yours might be big enough not to have a concern?

That goni was like 1 inch across when I first got it. It is like 8-10 in across now. The pair of clowns in it now have been using it for over a year without any noticeable effect.

i wanted to give everyone some updated parameters. I try to keep my ALK right at 9 dkh. It has been off a little in the last week because i tore down the Calcium reactor and did a clean up and added new media. I measure Alk quite often. Calcium and Mag every month or 2.
