Dude that is awesome!!! I'm in the process of getting my 400 going. I've bought at OceanView and place is great. Any recommendations on really well priced frags to get this tank started? Looking for some cheaper frags as I need quantity at this point

@Acquavista99. He’s the man. Ali from red chicks locally. Ocean View gets cool frags. There’s a guy named Alex locally as well who lives by Miami Dade as well. VIP has nice pieces too. My buddy just started growing high end pieces so hopefully he’ll have some nice pieces soon.

What was the issue with the skimmer pump? Was it replaced under warranty?

The Vectras? Yes they did replace them but I installed the hammerhead as as my overflow couldn’t handle the flow! Got a hammerhead running halfway. Vectras on my other two tanks

Small update today. Bit nervous about leaving my tank for two weeks. My sister has taken care of the tank on previous trips but nerve wrecking nonetheless. Anyhow me and a buddy realized that my problem with my SPS was my salt. We ordered a Milwaukee refractometer and calibrated it. My apex was reading 35 yet the refractometer read 40 :-( no bueno. My skimmer was not running full speed since a pump was not working correctly. Last night I had my return pump amd all the pumps on the left side of the aquarium. Today we ran everything through the Apex amd EB8s. I'm so happy to finally have everything on the Apex up and running completely. Once we get back we're gonna get this running the way it should. Gonna regain the sump. Got my acrylic boxes to hold the MM. I've had 700$ worth of MM in a bucket :-(.

Referring to your comment here, skimmer not running at full speed.

Everyone freaks when they see my pbt and chevron blotchy tanks. They have been in there over a year.

Looking awesome, what's the reason for having them in QT over a year? Do you keep seeing parasites pop up or just in no rush to put them in DT?

Kind of lol when I got them the 720 had the ick outbreak killing off most livestock. I put them in there and when things resolved I was scared they’d get beat up so I built the 220 and took a yr to get water in Jt and now just had a wipeout in there. Got a pair of Bandit angels, gem tang and black tang being cared for due to my sucking as an aquarist :-/

why would it fry you suff just put a regulator before

Something to do with the sinu wave. Actually after Irma when everything was dying I took the vectra off the battery back up and into the generator. It worked and saved quite a few :)

You don’t want this cave. This is the Nasos tank.
