I really want a clam but I assume my copperband butterfly will destroy it?
I’ve never heard about copperbands going after clams. Typically butterflies go after corals not clams. Angels are usually the ones you have to worry about with clams but even then sometimes they will be fine with them.

Pacific east, is this true?? If so, I will be buying a large one now.

I think you are going to find mixed reviews on Copperbands being clam friendly. I personally wouldn't try it being that their mouth is designed by nature for this sort of food(s). Be it feather duster, Aptasia, or similar / smaller biovalve.
