The Crab Pit

CrabPit.jpg

The Crab Pit is an 8 Gallon Rimless Bowfront AIO Aquarium. I bought it used, and don't know the brand. Although, it's like an older JBJ model.

The scape was a challenge to do make, due to the size, but I am ultimately happy with the final design.

The current stocking is:
1 Nerite Snail named Te Ka
1 Dwarf Zebra Hermit named Tamatoa
1 Halloween Hermit named Pumpkin
1 Panamic Barnacle Blenny named SAM(Surface to Air Muncher)
1 Nassarius Snail named Zombie
1 Cerith Snail named Sprinkles
1Jack O Lantern Leptoseris Colony named Jeremy

I made the lid myself from Multiwall Polycarbonate. I cut it with a band saw to fit the tank, and then attached hinges to it.

Equipment:
Aquaforest ARCHAEA Mini-Pro Heater
Newa MN404 Mini Pump
Inkbird Temperature Controller
Sicce Voyager Nano Stream Powerhead
IceCap Gravity ATO

The goal in the future is to add some Macroalgae. I added Macroalgae when I first started the tank, but there wasn't enough nutrients or lighting so it withered away.

Drink more fishwater there! And I still want more!

Two hermit crabs are about as much as I could get. Unless I wanted some dwarf blue legs. I am considering a porcelain anemone crab down the road when I think the reef is stable enough to not kill his anemones.
