Been battling “floaters” in my water column all week, so I made a cheap water polisher from a DIY on YouTube. Seems to be doing the trick so far!

How have I not found this sooner? I'd love an animal room one day. Following! Tank looks good
I’ll be posting more of the reptiles and tortoise tanks later this month, everything needs to be transferred into the basement where the tank is at. Unfortunately all my new reptiles tanks just got here and they were supposed to be here in August LOL. I’ll be updating regularly though!

Small update today: bought the lumber to build my new tortoise stock-tank stands, as well as some lumber to begin on all the other reptile cage/terrarium stands. Hope I can start to lay out some basic structures this weekend.

Picked up 2 new fish this weekend, a starry blenny and tomini tang. Both are settling in nicely, and already eating!

Added a few frags as well from my buddy’s tank. Enjoy the pics!

Well, it’s finally time, again.

From 2009 to 2015, I ran a total of 650 gallons in tanks in my “fish room”. 180 fowlr, 90 LPS/Zoa, 60 SPS, 8x40 breeders for a mix of quarantine tanks and frag tanks. When I moved, I tore everything down and sold off everything I owned. Ever since then, I’ve been slowly getting the itch to build another tank.

Fast forward to 4 months ago, I stumbled across a painting at an estate sale and snagged it for $25 - sold it for…a lot more. That being said, my wife said I should finally build another tank with the money that I stumbled across. So here we are today, and I finally got my tank (and some gear ordered).

EDITED 09/05/21 WITH ACTUAL GEAR PURCHASED & USING:

Tank - Seapora 90 Gallon RR
Sump - Trigger Systems Ruby 36
Skimmer - Reef Octopus 110 4”
Return Pump - Reef Octopus 950 GPH
Flow - Two AI Nero 5’s
Control - Coralvue Hydros w/ temp, PH, two water level sensors, and leak detection
Lights - Two Radion XR30 Pros G4
Fuge Light - not purchased yet

So, that’s what I have coming to my local LFS sometime next week. Nothing is official yet unless someone here suggests otherwise…but that is what I’ve decided (for now) lol.

I will update as things roll in & the actual build starts!
Surprisingly people do read others 'posts' and call out crap!.... Watch your posts as a new sheriff's in town

Well I got ONE new reptile tank set up tonight, unfortunately life has been extremely busy the past week so I still haven’t gotten the stand(s) built. However, I think to get me moving I’m going to get each viv/tank set up each day over the course of the next week or two then work on the stand.

Photo of Tormund, my baby gargoyle gecko cause he was exploring his new digs.

Got 3 of the 4 leopard gecko semi-bioactive (drainage layers, isopods, cuc, etc) tanks set up today! Decided to not do plants since 2 of the 4 leos are raptors and are extremely sensitive to light.

Also snagged this mushroom for $10 at my LFS. Not sure what it is, but it looks cool. Put it on a small rock isolated in the sand bed so it doesn’t go out of control lol.

Not much to update besides I’ve added a few frags (zoas, acros, and a couple mushrooms). Pic for tax.

Over the past 4 weeks, I unfortunately had ran out of my tropic marin salt and regrettably used coral pro instead...Alk has shot up to 10.2 over the past 3-4 weeks. Thankfully, my TM order came in to my LFS today, which means 10% water changes every 72 hours, until I can get it back down. So aggravated with myself I didn't look at the bucket before I mixed last month. Oh well, lesson learned.

On a side note though, I went back and looked at my original photos of my birds nest(s) and my chalice - seems they have actually started to grow a bit. Also already noticing some new "heads" or bumps starting to form on my zoa frags. Super excited to see some results already.

I am hoping next month to order 2 more AI Primes to assure that my par is up to standard (I know its not now with only 2) so I am hoping that adding 2 more should bump it to the levels I need.

As for the reptiles, I started to work on some of the stands for the tanks yesterday - didn't get very far, but progress is progress.

ALK is slowly going down, thankfully. Going to be doing another WC later this week.

Also picked up 2 new frags last night, will add some photos later on today.

Crappy photos, but two of my new frags. An alveopora & lepastrea (unsure on their “names”) but they looked cool and we’re only $20 so I said why not lol.
