Hey everyone! I was told all the cool kids are making threads to tell the story of their builds, so I didn't want to miss out on the fun!

A local guy sold me his tank, full of fish and live rock (no coral), plus a TON of awesome gear for a sweet deal ($2800 for everything ). I'm new to reefing but my partner has 3-4 years of experience. I'm having a lot of fun learning so far and this forum has been a huge help!

So here's my setup...

Hardware:
- 90 gal glass tank (single overflow plumbed with Herbie method)
- Flow: Ecotech MP40 + MP10
- Lights: 2 x Ecotech Radion Gen 3 Pros
- Sump: Elite Aquatics w adjustable depth baffle and probe holders
- Return: Ecotech Vectra M2
- Heater: BRS Titanium 300W heater
- Skimmer: Reef Octopus Regal 150-INT
- ATO: Tunze Osmolator 3155 and Synergy 5 gal reservoir
- Dosing: Bubble Magus T11
- Skimz MBR127 macroalgae reactor
- Pentair/emperor aquatics 25W UV sterilizer
- Dual BRS media reactor GFO/Carbon
- Apex controller

Fish:
- Pair of Mochavinci clowns
- Midas blenny
- Royal gramma
- Helfrichi firefish
- Diamond goby
- Banggai cardinal
- Spotted mandarin (our new addition)
- (there was initially a yellow-belly tang but she was picking on others so she had to go to the LFS)

Inverts:
- Cleaner shrimp
- At least 2 emerald crabs
- Long tentacle anemone
- Pistol shrimp (bonded to the helfrichi firefish and we never see)
- 2 feather duster worms
- Lots of snails, including mystery snails, conches, and turbo snails
- Handful of hermit crabs

Coral:
- Rando yellow zoas
- Green star polyp

The fish transport cooler! An Otterbox outfitted with a heater, pump, and bubbler - kept the fish happy for about ~10 hours during the move.

The tank finally setup! Fish ready to go in!

The sump! The ATO has since been moved to the exterior for easier fill and replaced with the dual media reactor. We added the doser above the return compartment.

The fish are happy and exploring their new home! I have tons more fish pictures and videos that I can post later. :)

So awesome! I love the color of your stand! I can’t wait to see lots and lots of coral in there. You’re definitely one of the cool kids now haha :)
Thanks! The previous guy painted it so I can't take credit but I love it too! Looks a little classier IMO than stained wood. The plan is that coral will be a slow, deliberate process as we decide what we want, but so far looking so see how the couple little frags go.

Yea, I think it looks better than stained too. That sounds like a plan with the coral. Researching, and figuring out what you want is half the fun.:)
