It's been a while.

Snapped a few photos, nothing big though.

FTS 1

Red Blasto - these were brought back from extinction. There was just a small sliver left after I found it face down in the sand over night. So I put it in the recovery section of the tank and now there is about a dozen heads. The largest when fully opened is larger than a silver dollar.

SPS Colony I got from Kee's a month ago - getting greener and fuzzier with polyps by the day it seems.

Your PPE patch is a knockout! Can you give us some more details on your tank setup?

I'd be happy to. Not too much to tell though, it's about as basic as it gets.

Est: 11-12-2006

Size: 36 gallon cube

Filter: CPR Backpack skimmer with a small amount of bio bail and poly pad in the back.

Flow: Nanostream, 3 MaxiJet 1200's (1 for skimmer, 2 for flow)

Lighting: 150W HQI 14K Phoenix. Runtime: 1:30pm - 10:00pm

Misc: 5 gallon water change weekly, dose Tech CB, and feed Coral Frenzy & Roti Feast 2x week. Water changes are key.

Livestock:

Pair solid black & white clowns & royal gramma

Coral: Mix of LPS, Polyps, SPS

6 SPS colonies (1 large, 5 small) w/ 2 tiny frags from break offs
2 large Lobos
13 zoa morps
3 candy cane colonies (neon green, purple, and red/white/green)
2 Blasto colonies
1 Green Torch
1 Brain Coral
2 Rodactius (sp) morphs (includes Superman)
1 Large Lord colony (size of an orange - not fully open in FTS pic above)

Other than that, that's about it.

The tank gets a lot of TLC and I am a very big believer in water turn over and water changes for a healthy tank

Tried to fire a few shots of my clowns off - these two are impossible to get, they NEVER stay still long enough. You can't tell here, but there is a sizable difference between the two. The female is OBVIOUS by a great margin aprox double the size.

And here's a pic of the Lord colony. Nothing fancy or rare, but extremely healthy and grows like wild. There is about 75 heads on this, most are unseen when fully open because it swells so big.

Thanks Marv. I don't have near the collection of nice rare pieces you do :marv

...but it will do I suppose - it keeps me entertained.

I don't have too much corals anymore atm... besides, your tank is much nicer to look at coz it looks natural and everything looks healthy and thriving... :)

keep up the good work man.. I know I always enjoy the tank updates... :)
