I had a grain of sand move from one area of my tank to another.

I'm concerned on what to do.....

Should I do a total tank teardown?
Should I do a massive water change?
Should I get all new powerheads?
Should I scoop out all the sand and do a thorough rinse?
Do I just replace the sand?

If I replace the sand should I replace 100% of it? 50%? 25%?

Please help

Parameters? Also a clearer picture under whites might help. Did you quarantine the sand in question before introducing to DT?
Help us help you.
I QT'ed the sand in hyposalinity for 71 days.... and now I'm reading it needed to be the full 72 days!

I'm very upset with myself

Nothing good comes from being inpatient in this hobby. Keep a close eye on the other sand grains. This could be an epidemic. In the meantime stock up a 55g drum of prazi and be prepared to QT the rest of the sand and treat.

This sounds like one of those new guys who asks for help and when you tell him exactly what to do he says, "OK, I did the opposite."
Or argues.
“I have no idea what I’m doing. Please help!!”
Then proceeds to tell you that you are wrong because they know better.
