My family got together and decided to get me something very special to keep me going as I had pretty much give up. I was presented with a Christmas card with a picture of a aquarium on it and it said "A new aquarium can always bring some joy and fun in troubled times".
Opening the the fold out on the card it said "Enjoy your new..." with a picture of a Red Sea 750xxl v3 and a spec sheet.

I really enjoyed seeing this truck pull up
It was awesome to see this crate and at the same time I was a nervous wreck

My dad came to help and this is him posing that its going to take some muscle to bring this inside

I have had my 80gal Deep Blue for some time and enjoyed all the wonderful things that happened because of that tank and all of its contents will be put in this tank.

Red Sea modified the v3 740 by putting 2 returns and enlarging the overflow pipe to 40mm(about 1 1/4in).
Having bigger size pipe iis great but at the base where it goes through the bulkheads it goes down to 32mm then back to 40mm all the way to the sump.
So after looking at many ways of modifying the plumping I chose to go with the part R42221 and unscrew the 16mm nipple and put on a 32mm to one inch adapter then from there go to 1 1/4 in pvc. So in essence its the same thing they have done with the stock piping except I will be using 1 1/4 pvc instead of 40mm.
Here is a picture of the size on the stock overflow tubing:
15.jpg

I ordered 4x R42221 parts from https://www.marineandreef.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=RRS42221
9.jpg

Next ordered a 32mm to 1in adapter here- https://flexpvc.com/cart/agora.cgi?p=PVC-Fittings-Metric-Adapters&p_id=417-6127&xm=on&ppinc=detail
12.jpg

Next unscrew the 16mm nipple off the r42221 part
11.jpg

Screw the r42221 part onto the bulkhead stock plumbing
13.jpg

Then I will glue the 32mm to 1in adapter onto the 42221 adapter. This is a real good fit as the 42221 is 32mm so the adapter fits perfectly
14.jpg

I will run 1in all the way to the returns and run 1 1/4 to the overflow lines 11.jpg

One of the best and attractive plumbing jobs I have seen is on the 750xx that @Whip did.
I love what he did and when I saw the mounts he used for the pvc I had to do something similar so I found these:

I went by the manufacturers part number and ordered them here-
For the 1in return pipe: https://www.zoro.com/arlington-conduit-hanger-nylon-22-in-l-08-in-h-nm2025/i/G1056474/
For the 1 1/4 drains: https://www.zoro.com/arlington-conduit-hanger-nylon-25-in-l-08-in-h-nm2040/i/G1523767/

Can’t wait to see this come along. Glad to see you face your fear. How this bring more joy to you and your family’s life. If it’s ok to ask what happened to make you scared to be outside? Not to get into your Business. That’s the best Xmas present you could ask. Might have to hit this to my wife and daughter for next year. :)

Severe depression is what caused my issue along with facing the fact that my neurological condition will not get any better but we are all born with the ability to survive and overcome anything brought our way.
I never really asked for the present but wow was I surprised so I want to make the best of it and document every process as I go and maybe some of my decisions made on this build will help someone else.
Hey! Congrats!!! I'm super excited for you! I'm excited to learn from your build!
Btw, we don't live that far if ya need help with something.
@Katrina71 after meeting you and your son I was so happy to the the enthusiasm that you guys had in learning this wonderful hobby. I am needing some sand and trying to figure out who has some. I have 2 brand new bags of this but I think that 4 more will be ideal

Great to see you back on your feet. Excited to see the plumbing project. Let me know if you measure the distance between the overflow pipes and returns. Overflow box is 20” wide?

The really sad part is I am sitting here with a stand that is built and leveled but still waiting on help to move the aquarium inside. I thought that is would be moved on the weekend but this didn't happen.
I am still trying to get people to come and help.
Once I get some help moving the tank inside full measurements and all that can be taken along with some detailed photos.

Tried again today to find some people to help bring the tank inside and no luck. I bet that I am the only one on this whole forum that has this problem. Pretty sad as I have all I need to get it going :(

I am proud to say the tank is inside and tomorrow morning it will be on the stand!!:D
Let the plumbing begin 1in for the return and 1 1/4 for the drains. I am not using any colored pipe so white will have to do but my layout should be very clean and tidy.
