Maybe not metal, but it looks shiny and the mushroom is like in a u-corner of a plastic piece or something. I thought maybe it was a metal piece or something that was special for the mushrooms lol =D
Some coral ect are glued to rock... then that piece of rock is glued to the frag...

@REEFTIDE , is your showstopper favia same as JF dayglo?
No, Dayglo goes more pink and it grafts blue additionally no yellow. The Showstopper is red and has yellow around the eyes. When its not happy it looks more like a WWC lemon lime

Thanks! I got a dayglo from WWC and was trying to compare it to your photos. It's similar but the dayglo color is more muted. I may have to add the showstopper to my collection....

Thanks! I got a dayglo from WWC and was trying to compare it to your photos. It's similar but the dayglo color is more muted. I may have to add the showstopper to my collection....
The dayglo can look super amazing but it needs lower light for sure under high light its not happy IMO

Candy canes can def sting other stuff. If you have an iodine dip I would use it

Other than brown jelly disease. However, that is worst case scenario. That is why most people syphon around the jelly. To help remove it in case it is brown jelly disease. This isn't the cure but it helps from spreading to other coral.
