Are those species both Reef safe? I don't plan to get one But I'm interested in marine puffers and I'm willing to get a tank for 1

Nothing is truly anything 100%

They are 50/50, either a saint or a wrecking ball.

I'm going to chance it AFTER my corals grow, but it is a gamble, especially for coral and shrimp.

If you really want a tiny puffer than the pea puffer, C. travancoricus, is the smallest in the world. You'd have to set up a small freshwater tank for them though. Alot have had luck acclimating some of the small brackish species to full salt similar to mollies.

The leopard toby is the most reef safe, but not a 100% guarantee, 25-30g min. They will max out below 3" and are a very cool fish.

Yes! Pea puffers would be perfect! I plan to set up a fw tank soon anyways
