I don't know that people notice huge Ca consumption from snails, but definitely from large clams.

A quick study online suggests that marine snail shell is 98% calcium carbonate, so the new shell of clams and snails is how much is being uptaken.

So I’m not dosing for corals and I plan too now cause I want more coral growth and stable water

Coralline algae, clams, snails, halimeda can all put demand upon calcium and alkalinity, competing with the corals for the precious elements. Getting these stable promotes healthy growth for all.
DasTaCo? if you think you want a calcium reactor, these are expensive but functionally replace a lot of other equipment used to balance and stabilize output from a regular calcium reactor. Otherwise, two part works also but a reactor for me is a better solution, more cost effective especially for larger systems. FWIW.
