It should be able to get rid of the sand

You could give it a few hours to relax and if still in there try to blow them out
How is yours looking now? And chance you got the foreign matter under a scope for some closer/ better pics?

I can cipro the acantho
I’ve been kfc dipping a torch over the last few days and I think I actually was successful this time.
Can you share your experience with that? What was the torch going through and how did you treat it? What was the response?

I’ve had what I think are bacterial issues with euphyllia in my tank and wanna figure out a long-term solution that actually heals them.

That was the come back from cipro? Where can I purchased it at? Something is killing my hammers and torch. Killed my torch and 1 of 2 hammers. 1 left and it doesn't look happy.
I’ll tell ya I’ve lost torches before from bjd and kfc has historically never helped. But I do know, it does work sometimes. It’s not a guarantee though.

For this torch, I went aggressive and used a very high concentration

I have always done KFC in the DT with the idea of knocking out the pathogen in the DT.

Either way, the use of antibiotics to treat BJD has been a game changer. There are a lot of folks who don't like hobbyist using antibiotics but I can't see siting by and watching corals (or anything treatable) die if there is a cure available.

I hope the ancantho recovers from eating that nudibranch. This has been an interesting thread!

I have no concern about the antibiotics as I have a closed system and I don’t do water changes.

When I use a cup full at a time, the leftover is dumped into a glass jar of cat litter, lid secured, and taped in place, and thrown out. That’s the best I can come up with
