I have a 560G FOWLR. The last addition was a 7” clown trigger. The tank boss is Dussumeri Tang, followed by Queen Angel, Achilles Tang, Moorish Idol, and black velvet Angel, harlequin tusk. Is it a bad idea to add a 7” Black Hawaiian Trigger?

the Hawaiian is a beautiful trigger, but thinking may set off clown.
and not end well.
Hawaiian tend to be little more docile ,may not even try to defend itself.

Mine got along but the clown was tank boss.
They were similar in size. Clown was a bit larger.

Queen is not usually going to take crap from nobody,
the body shape is going to be "trigger" so to speak .
try some type of acclimation cage, see how it goes,
don't see a problem trying to rehome Hawaiian ,if doesn't work out.
not an easy fish to get rt now... ;)

I know…., my fish guy took him in from a customer of his. I asked & he asked me to name a price. I jokingly said $40 and he was like - sure….

Yeah…, I will need to QT him first. This fish shop is pretty small & the owner keeps all the tanks clean. I’ve been going to his store for 10+ years and have only seen maybe just one dead fish in his tanks.
