AI 40 Gallon gyre to much ?

I'm was thinking about getting a gyre pump for my 40 gallon cube. I've noticed a few people have one mounted in a back corner. I'm looking for some feedback, to much flow ?
I was going to get a jebao scp-90, I know these are cheaper pumps but wanted to try one out.
