For a 96 long & 36 wide should two rows of the glow/grow/glow/grow in 48” be fine?
So, 4 total 48" Blades?For a 96 long & 36 wide should two rows of the glow/grow/glow/grow in 48” be fine?
I'm a bit slow since I’m still fairly new. What do you mean when you say 3 wide, 5 wide, etc.
I’d most likely want to run a grow and glow set up like yours.
No, 8 total like the example rtparty posted under your comment. So, 4 total 48" Blades?
That would be 400 Watts cranked all the way up to light 24 sq feet. I don't see how that would be possible for a tank with stony corals.
What corals are you thinking?
Thanks for all the tips, it’s kinda hard getting that around here when I sometimes ask stupid beginner questions lol.So on my tank I am running 5 lights wide. 3 Blades and 2 XHO. It will eventually be 5 Blades because I am OCD and want it to go Grow/Glow/Grow/Glow/Grow to be even on my peninsula.
If you aren't doing a peninsula, you could run 2 sets of 4 Blades.
Front to back like this:
Grow Grow
Glow Glow
Grow Grow
Glow Glow
If you are trying to cover a 96" long tank, you will want to use the 39" models IMO. The 48" models are actually 48.1" plus the wire so two of them side by side will be larger than the tank. For a 120" tank, use the 57" models.
