It's been a long road of trying to come up with an elegant but sturdy solution to making a large light shade for the Hydra 52 and newer 64 model hydras, but it's finally here!
Designed for use with the HMS mounting arm and flexible arm mounting solutions, this light shade keeps the light out of your eyes when viewing the aquarium. Printed at very high quality with careful attention to detail, each hydra shade is guaranteed to fit. No mounting hardware required, just slide the light shade over the light and small lip on the top will prevent it from sliding off. You don't even have to turn your lights off to install it!
Side vents allow for unimpeded air flow for the hydra heat sinks. Shade length is designed to only stop incidental light spill that wasn't directed into the aquarium. This will not affect PAR levels but will help keep the viewers eyes focused on the aquarium itself.
