So we know the best light ever, the ai prime 16, is designed to meet the demands of the modern reefer, such as top of the line melting abilities not found in all of their competition. Previous AI primes, such as the HD, could only melt holes in it's own lense, but the ai prime 16 pushes boundaries like we have never seen before. Check out this sweet light! Not to mention the constancy across them. I've used 5 of these lights and all of them melted. This is by far the best performer! Once again I can't state just how much I love these fantastic pieces of technology

I used to praise the AI Prime HD, but now my lights are failing and the lenses are melted. They're horrible for shadowing unless you space several of them in a grid fashion. Have fun mounting them.

Wow!!! I used to use them and never experienced this . I will say that the company does sell the replacement lenses but if the unit is melting them it’s moot . Never even heard of this before . Glad it didn’t torch and catch fire !!! Scary !!! How old were the units ?

Haha wow! That seems less than ideal…

I have two but they are over a 5g and 7g so they are set low and you can put your hand on the lense and it’s not even lukewarm. The fans never kick on.

I guess like wave makers it’s probably best to size up and run lower for less wear and tear and less fan noise… but then again.. who can afford that with prices of leds….

I'd love some of the radions for my tanks, but I'm trying to get out of debt...not into it.

If you prefer to melt leds in bulk, I assure from experience their 26HD and 52HD models will not let you down.
