Is this ok to mount inside the Biocube 32 hood and splash guard? I’d remove the stock lights. I have 3 young kids so tank top is a must with dart guns and other things.

I just mounted my AI Primes inside my RSM C130 and they are running great. I kept the stock hood fans and set them to run from the time my primes turn on till 2 hours after they shut off. The only real downside is mounting them so close to the water surface really creates a spotlight effect and I ended up needing 2 primes on my smaller tank to get good spread. Excuse the algae

No problem, you will probably need two of them as Well, I'm not sure of the footprint on the biocube but I believe it's similar to the C130. Either way I love how they look right now and even though it took two of them it wasn't any more money than the other retrofit kits (Steve's LED's and nanobox)

Looks like Biocube might be 1.5” taller. Might just hold off for another option instead of buying 2

If you're looking for other options, look at nanobox and Steve's LED's. Both make upgrades for the biocubes:)

Might have to go with the Reefbreeders. Looks cool. Easy setup I would think

In the 32 hood I think you only need to pull the led board out of the hood and place the the v2 directly in its place and it’ll sit snug in there. The 29 I had to modify it a bit to secure it in the hood

I tried the same thing but ran into overheating problems with the light inside the hood. Cool that you figured it out with the fans. I couldn't make it work. I ended up removing the lid and it's changed the look of my Biocube; so much prettier with the AI Prime. Here's the before and after.

Sorry I know this is a little old but I’m planning on doing the same thing? How did you hide your cords coming out of the back chambers and did you fabricate a new top for the display or are you totally topless. No pun intended
