I’m sure they would be enough, but I have my lights higher above then the water then recommended, and T5’s can supplement that loss from the leds. Plus T5’s are cheap and powerful. Were the Radions not enough? Why add t5?
Awesome great to know.I’m sure they would be enough, but I have my lights higher above then the water then recommended, and T5’s can supplement that loss from the leds. Plus T5’s are cheap and powerful.
I did notice a shadow when the lights were lower, but now that they are raised roughly 12 - 15” above the water I haven’t noticed it.This build is getting me so jacked for mine haha. Do you think the dividers in the lids restrict much light? I took mine off because I noticed a faint shadow while they were on. For my next one, I may ask them to give me slightly larger glass to make up for the gap the divider takes.
On my temp 60 I just hit the first algae stage. Hoping the mimic tang I have in there will keep upDealing with Cyano and brown algae, the final stages!!! Forgot how much this stinks!!!
I have no idea lol. Haven't even checked yet. What are ur nitrates at? Mine were at 30 when my diatoms came and I did a large wc and got them down to 10 and they went away fairly fast. (Around a week)
AMAZING!!!!!!!!Update: My wife and I are remodeling an area in the house near the front door and adding a Bar. I said how awesome it would look if behind the bar was a massive predator tank instead of just staring at a wall. So in short I will have 2 builds on this thread lol. We discussed for several hours, and the tank will be acrylic 2" thick at 650 gallons 96" x 36" x 42" tall. I will use artificial coral inserts and no rock or corals. I haven't decided on sump or equipment yet, but it will all be decided soon. This build is looking to take between 6-10 months.
Bight your tounge lol...Its going to be crazy!! bamboo sharks, lion fish, triggers, wrasses, eels. Also nice and easy not dealing with dosing or coral care!!
