Currently filled and running! Im mixing the salt in the tank which is why you see some sitting there. Now its time to get it cycled. Next up is hanging the lights!
Nice! Actually once the salt is mix in well enough. U could just start to put in frag/coral. Setting up a tank just for coral doesn’t need to be cycled. If you’re gonna put in fishers then u will have to.

I know they would survive but i would still like to establish a healthy biome first. Less chance of getting dinos and other pest algaes. There will be some utilitarian fish but thats about it.

Built the light stand last night. Wanted it to be easy to move if i ever decide to take the whole setup to a frag swap. It can come apart into 3 sections by removing a couple screws. Tank is cycled and the first fish and frags will be moved in soon!

Sixline wrasse, flounder for cleaning the sandbed, some zoas and procillapora added. Diatom bloom has started. Few more weeks and itll be time to put the rest of the coral in.

Well done!

Will be keeping a close eye on your thread as I'm seriously considering doing two Lowboy AIO setups instead of two drilled Lowboy tanks plumbed into one sump.

Hey thanks DR that really make me consider this aio system. You lose a little real estate but no drilling or crawling around maintenance below. Thanks for posting this!
No problem, you can also make the filter section along the back of the tank too, whatever works for you. My biggest goal in building it was making it easy to move, and this was the easiest way to do it. This is going to be a tank i plan to take to local frag swaps when they start back up

I really like all the work you did. I can see myself doing this down the road. Especially if I ever get gutsy enough to try to make my own lights....

Also can it be built and hidden in my closet. That way the wife won't find it and ask me when I got it? Hmmm the idea started as a joke but the more I think about it .......
