Dangit man! You’re right!! Big sigh of relief! I’ve been killing them for nothing! They reproduce like crazy! Thank you!

No problem. I am surprised they reproduce so fast for you... must be something they are liking in your tank!

They do have a potent sting.

Ok so I have a mantis tank, that gets light from my bedroom ceiling fan for about 4 hours a day. The mantis is happy, living in what I call the dead reef.

But lo and behold aiptasia!!!! Not even algae can grow in this tank..... it’s been up since January with NO LIGHT!!!

I am going to leave it in the tank, because it’s earned it’s right lol.

In my opinion. Kill her. While killing it make sure any debris do not "fly" away. Alternatively put a shrimp that eat them. It is a real pest.

Lol so it’s a her. Sorry couldn’t help myself. But saying KILL HER! definitely sounds more dramatic, hah.

Well.. I have a larger shrimp that will eat any shrimp I put in the tank lol I don’t think this will work.

Honestly all joking aside, tank won’t ever see coral. If it starts to get overrun, I think the tank would look a little more deadly than it already dose. Which is the whole point of the tank.

If I don’t like the look, maybe the mantis will get along with a file fish. Lol

I've got them in my external filter, it doesn't get darker than that.
