Bought this guy a year or so ago because we had a few aiptasia. He took care of it at first - or at least kept it under control.

Now - he doesn't touch the stuff and it has spread quite a bit.

OK - let's try other things - threw 20 medium / large Berghia in the tank over 2 months ago - haven't been able to find one since and no real change in aiptasia.

OK - lets take our chances with a couple peppermint shrimp. 4 days later and I've yet to see either of them.

Pretty sure he was nipping at a couple small SPS frags a while back.

Then the other day, water change time - I bumped a snail off the glass, it landed on it's side and immediately the filefish rushes in and obliterates the snail.

I'm pretty sure this knuckleheaded filefish is eating all the things I'm putting in the tank that should be eating aiptasia.

I took my last file fish out for chewing corals but still have a tassel file, it also eats snails so I only add cowries now as it can't get into them.
They generally sleep at the top by the glass somewhere so can be easy to net once the lights are off, good luck.
