About a month ago, I purchased a small frag of trumpet coral. In what I thought was simply a skeleton of a polyp, emerged a lil aiptasia. I was going to carve it out, until I read that they release spores, so I decided to superglue the dickens outta him. Whether he poked out of a smaller crack in the skeleton, or there was another small aiptasia, I had to super glue around the base of the whole trumpet coral skeleton.

Anyways, that worked and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to kill aiptasia. My issue now is that the superglue is rather unsightly on such a small frag (I kinda panicked and went overboard), and I’m worried that the skeleton won’t be able to expand outwards. I’ve got some bone cutters outside and was thinking of just cutting the glue off.... but do the spores lay dormant? Will I just be letting it spread after my successful eradication?
