I assume the ‘classic’ is because it has 4 legs (photo shows extra legs) and the other (top) photo is the more modernized, suspended with 2 mounts.

I assume they can be with some type of saw equipped with a blade to cut thru light-weight metal. Comes with more than 4 legs so there is a possibility to make 2 rail systems.
