Below is a screen shot of the algae I am dealing with. I thought it was bryopsis but reef flux has done nothing to it. Any help would be appreciated

This is chrysophytes and often confused with Dino but s member of cyano bacteria group.
Removal will require taking the rocks out and scrubbing with a firm toothbrush or automotive detail brush and 3% hydrogen peroxide. Thereafter - return rock to the tank and reduce white light intensity. Add 1.5 ml of liquid bacteria per 10 gallons for 7 days during the day and also add astrea, ninja star and fighting conch snails, chiton snails and pitho crabs

Does chrysophyts have the long strand that splits into fern like branches? I never heard of chrysophyt algae before

Does it always look like this? It almost looks like melted bryopsis

They can as will bryopsis
If bryopsis, will have roots which causes the algae to keep coming back- MUST REMOVE ROOTS in this case. You can use a dental pick or small crochet needle
