Would like to get an idea what type of algae I got going on, is it good/bad, and how do I keep it under control if I need to.

I THINK its cyano but would like a more experienced opinion.

Looks like a VERY new tank.
What kind of flow do you have? IME, cyano loves low flow areas.

Low flow for sure due to waiting on a powerhead, so just a sicce 1.0 with RFG.

I’ll pick up a powerhead tomorrow from my LFS until the other one arrives

Phospate and Nitrate both at 0ppm on the API test kit.

Gunk like this tends to thrive in environments where nitrates and phosphates are bottomed out. If you can dirty the water a bit, that may help.

Will do! I have some Hikari Algae Wafers I can drop in. How often should I do that?

Also doing lights out for a few days to help out as well.
