Hello,

I am struggling with some algae growth that is affecting my corals. My nutrients are very low, which I am working on getting up. I've started a blackout period, and removed as much as I could. I have some microscope images, the first being a chunk of algae pulled from my Duncan coral and the second one is a photo of one super long, thin strand of algae that waves around on the glass and bothers coral.

Any help is appreciated.

There's really nothing to see in those images. If it has characteristics visible by eye, take a picture in the tank and post that. If you think it's small enough to warrant a microscope ID, thin out the sample you picture so there's only a single layer of cells and that there's at least a little space between them - that lets their shape and features stand out more and makes sure your focus is on the thing you're trying to see.
