So I was able to get logged in to the light. Not exactly sure if I chose the correct timezone by the list has o-12 twice with plus or minus by the number
I modified ab+ and saved to device. Is this how others did theirs.

I run my lights from 12-0100 with the first and last hour at 1%deep blue and purple. The rest ramp up and down from there.

I set up my lights but have run into a set of issues.

First is that while i can change the time zone to UTC-1 I can’t get the time to stick. It will always reset to 3 hours earlier. This is not a big problem because i can just shift the schedule.

Second issue is that on two of my 4 A8SE lights i get this when i log onto the lights using wifi

It works if i direct connect to the lights, so i could still configure them this way.

Final issue is with my A7II which i could add to wifi but then later i was unable to connect to. So i removed the light and tried to add it again but now the light doesn’t show up as a wifi device. If i power cycle it, the device shows up in wifi for a few minutes but the phone is unable to connect to it. I tried resetting but was unable to get that to do anything

I checked and the light did not turn off last night so I manually turned it off. Today I restarted it. I'm not sure what timezone to set it at or how to set my schedule.

I deleted the light and reinstalled it today. Will see if my modified ab will run. After saving the device after modification of ab, the lights did not come on . I used the restart button on the app a couple times and the light did come on. Not sure if it's now running my schedule or not.

Does anyone know who had the translated app info and clear programming directions so I can ask for a copy?

Small positive note…
Since changing from philips coralcare to the a8 my alk uptake has almost doubled. Not everything is because of just the lights.. tank s maturing, frags start growing bases , calcium algues.. but.. they grow coral like mad

I ordered the A8s with Cree and meanwell driver. I seen from other sellers the a8se a8pro and a8 blue. The seller I used has the se, Blue and s versions. I paid a little extra for meanwell drivers.

Anyone have any experience with this light? Just found it browsing AliExpress and thought it looked to be a pretty good knock off of the XR30

Read the fine print, many of these use Chinese LED's others use Creed, also some are minimum order of 2. And then you have to add shipping.

Great opportunity for group buy as pricing falls as quantity increases.

AliExpress A8SE Reef Light

Has anyone in here spent the money on the A8 Pro? I'd love to see a screenshot of the app to see how the control sliders (color channels) are setup. If it really is based on the G6 layout, it should have the extra violets, correct? I got the Pro and here is a screenshot of the app.
