Hello,

I have a question about the Hanna Alk reagent.
I test Alk once or twice a week so a reagent lasts about 15 to 20 weeks.
I have noticed with the last 3 bottles of reagent that at the last 5ml or so that the readings have drifted down by about 1.5 dkh
A new reagent bottle shows the "correct"reading
any ideas wht this is happening.?
I have been using the hanna alk tester for years now without a problem until now.

I think someone mentioned you are supposed to do 25 tests and then toss what’s left. I try to be quick with filling the syringe so the the fluid is exposed to as little air as possible each time. Don’t know if it helps but can’t hurt!

Air/moisture in time will cause your readings to be off. use a stds. kit to verify. Hanna std. kit for alk.
