New to the hobby and from what my test kit is saying my Alk is around 11. Can i lower it with some distilled water?

Just the 2 part calcium and a salifert test kit. I get my water from a LFS near me and the water i have stored read the same.

Chances are the salt they are using is high in alkalinity.

Maybe stop dosing the alk half & let it drop on it's own. then adjust doses to match where Ya want it .
I use Red Sea Blue it has a much lower alk .
