Hi UK reefers. Hope everyone is keeping well in these troubled times.
Not much discussion from our side of the world so I thought I would check in to see how you all are.
Really hoping we can get a bit of a chat going to open the UK forums a little more. Myself I’m a bit jealous of what seems to be the massive tanks a lot have in the US.
How about we make a start with what we are working with? Or what we would like
I have a modest AquaOne 180 (about 40 gallons) which has been a great start to the salty world but I would love to move up to maybe a Waterbox Reef 130.4.
Cheers all
Jim

Hi Jim

ive got a couple of relatively large tanks, but we can’t seem to get much activity on the specific UK forums, I think many including myself are involved in R2R in general.

Hi - relatively new to the Marine side hobby with a Reefer 170. Only just heard about the UK forum - seems to be hard to get us, on this side of the pond, using forums - swing has been towards social media sites like FB

About 3 months ago I have started to converting the same aquarium to saltwater too. I have started with dry rock and live sand + dr Tim’s live bacteria. I have now got 6 little fish some snails and hermit crabs there. Waiting for new light units. Doing well so fare.

Good to hear from people from uk. I’ve finally got my Waterbox 130.4. Build thread has been started. Comments, advice, constructive criticism welcome.

Yes it’s a shame. We don’t seem to have the big shows and competitions that America has. Or the massive choices of corals.

Yeh. I would like it if we had the big aquarium shows like America has. Would love it if we had something like Magna here.
