Hi, I am running Kessil a 160 we. After running a coral box. on blue to white 50% 50% 50% 6% 6% 6% on the 6 channels and corals where very happy. Only reason for selling is I am not big on phone apps and like knobs I can twirl.
Problem is I have no idea how to set the lamp. I have a 16 gal cade and run the light just on/off on a basic timer with my settings at preasent
Light: 6 ins from water surface
Intensity: knob at 6 o'clock position
Colour: knob at 3 o'clock position
Thing is I am just guessing. Corals seem happy for now
Does anyone run this light with a similar size tank with FPS corals so I can take your lead? better than just guessing

Thanks

Supposedly the Kessils have “Kessil Logic” that ensures any colour setting should give you what the coral needs to stay healthy and grow. I have always read that as the colour is purely aesthetic as they’re hitting all the wavelengths no mater the setting (assume you accept the marketing as accurate). That just leaves intensity which is specific to your individual tank. Disclaimer: I don’t run this light, I use Kessil A360X’s off the wifi dongle and app.

The controler is kind of expensive but worth it. I travel, so i kind of need automation or my wife would turn everything to 100%. Keep the color low. My corals did not seem to like color above 40.
