Yes I seen the pictures of the full blown mushroom takeovers of others tank. Don’t know if I am a “won’t happen to me” or “they must not be watching their tanks” person. But I don’t fear them and not sure if it’s going to bite me in the end.

I have a 32g Biocube. It’s mixed Softy’s, Leathers, LPS and SPS. I also have like 7 different mushrooms in the tank. Tank is about 6 months old.

Here is some overall shots so you can see what I am working with.

You have a number of things that are "going to take over". You'll need to be vigilant keeping them away from your sps.
Guessing your talking about GSP and zoas? edit: forgot to add xina and Kenya trees in the tray lol

Is it irrational to think I can kill the shrooms as they get near the sps?

Toss a LPS on top of them or something?

For me, it was always the discoma mushrooms that took over. The other types were easier to keep under control.

How would they take over unless you are completely absent?

I've literally got a Hundred or more mushrooms in my tank. When a baby shows up where I don't want it, I take a chisel and pare it off the rock.

Hahaha. That was the Perfect answer.

They will definitely take over a rock. This was early in the day at peak lighting, they cover every inch.

That did not happen overnight. They didn't take over, you just didn't manage the grouping. Not quite the same. How many years between introduction and these pics?

A bubble coral will Take Over a tank if given long enough. I've got one that will fill every inch of a jbj15.

Awesome pics btw. That's a lot of shroom.

Like anything, if you let it get out of hand, it's hard to reel it back in workout serious work. If @capted pulled all but 5 of each of those mushrooms out of the tank, and continued the management, It couldn't get like that again.
