Am I finally getting coralline? It’s green, but then whitish?

I noticed green speckles on the left side and the right side had white/pink speckles. The left side has a little bit of the pink as well. Is this coralline algae?

3 month later update. I’m finally seeing a tiny bit of coraline algae, but it’s the purple kind and it’s not in this location.

I don’t have any algae in my tank glass. I managed to lower phosphates and nitrates, and all the algae went away, but I’m still stuck with this, and it grew! It doesn’t necessarily bother me, but I want to know what it is. Pics taken with white light for clarity. (Picture of the back wall with no algae.)

If it doesn't come off easily with a toothbrush, then most likely it's the start of coralline

Do you think it will change to purple? It is spreading pretty quick, and it doesn't appear to be changing since making this thread. It's spreading a lot in that area of the tank.

Define quickly. While the coralline in my tank spread fast it was no where near as fast as GHA or other “bad” algae

I honestly don't know if that is purple coralline as all of mine started out purple and then spread

I'm surprised you haven't got a clear answer answer yet. I wouldn't know but I've read that Coraline also appears in grayish green. So I would assume that you have a type of it. Does it help or worsen your parameters?

Most definitely Coraline algae can be green. As far as I know it will not affect your parameters. Like Fudsey said, if it doesn’t brush off easily, then it is probably Coraline. A lot of times you will see green before you see purple/pink. If it’s turning white then I think it is dying. I believe Coraline does not do well in high nutrient water.

Coraline comes in red, purple, pink, and green. The red can come in with a little yellow and orange but usually changes to solid red in my experience. The purples edges of new growth will be white but changes to purple. But none will change color from say red to pink or purple or green. If it changes to white, then it is dying. Coraline can thrive in high nutrient conditions. The main thing is to have higher PAR, like 150+, and keep Ca at least 400 ppm.
