Orphek brings you exclusive pictures with the new Atlantik V4 spectrum!

amazing-Reef-aquarium-LED-light.jpg

Last April we shared an amazing Japanese 400 gallon reef tank belonging to our friend and client Masahiro Kamya from Pacific-Japan Co.

Our trip to Japan gave us the opportunity to meet him and his adorable wife in person and discuss the upgrade of his tank from our previous Atlantik V3 Plus to our Atlantik V4 LED reef lights.

Masahiro started with V2 Orphek lights and has been upgrading since.

Orphek Atlantik v4 is the Highest economic efficiency in the market (euro per watt).
and here for reef2reef member there is 100$ extra discount .

Umm, pretty sure that chart says the maxspect Ethereal is the best?

IMO you can create the same coverage with a few LED's and T5's for a fraction of the cost. IMO this is overkill. They probably all have to be dialed down to 30% to be at 300-350 PAR.

The problem with that claim is it fails basic accounting rules. Economic efficiency has to take into account total cost of ownership (tco). The up front purchase price of 7k makes these lights economically inefficient. Extremely so in fact.

That chart states a difference of .08 euro. That's like a penny in US. So they're basically tied for first ;).

And I always wondered why US retailers like BRS and MD never carried them.

In that chart it says it's 912 Euro for the cost, slightly cheaper than the Radion G4 Pro. Equals $1,046 and change. Where did 7k come from?
