I want to ask if it would help with the regeneration of bleached Acropora if the coral was "clouded" in amino acids or even placed in an amino/saltwater bath for a couple of minutes as opposed to just adding aminos to the tank and "broadcast" feed them.

I've also heard of placing the upper part of a plastic bottle on the coral and dropping aminos in it.
(the same trick people use to feed LPS corals)

I'd love to hear your opinions and experiences. :)

If you care to know why I ask,
here is a quick overview of my situation:

One of my newer Acros which is near and dear to my heart has bleached and also had a little bit of TN on the base. (see photos)

My tank is running fairly low Po4 0-0.02 and OK No3 (5).
I do dose amino acids and Po4 every few days already which has helped a lot with overall coloration of the corals. (colors were all on the light/pale side)

I've also had the same exact issue with an orange A. millepora. Just the addition of aminos and raise of Po4 has made it recover. (see other photos)
Note that i have quite a few more different Acros (new frags as well as established colonies) which all do just great.

IMO the Tenuis has improved ever so slightly since I started dosing aminos and po4 but not very much.

I just started to dose brightwell aminos and looking like I'm getting positive results. Alkalinity consumption increased and some sps that weren't growing are now.

I recently started using aminos and have seen positive results using Brightwells, I just broadcast it by dosing over a power head in my tank.
