I put in an order for a fox face a few days ago that wasn’t supposed to arrive until next Thursday, well I get a call saying it’s in store now and is ready for pickup. My problem is my QT tank still has around 0.2 ammonia in it. I plan to use copper and the whole QT process but I read copper can’t be used with ammo lock. Can I use the ammo lock and then wait a week or so and do a big water change and then start the QT process? I’m fine waiting as long as I have to as long as it’ll be safe to start the copper after.

The reason for the emergency is my LFS doesn’t hold pre ordered fish, so I need to pick him up today but as stated have ammonia in QT.
