Hey guys. So after 4 days of cycling, my ammonia levels are still high at above 8ppm. Is this suppose to be normal? Should i do a water change? I’ve added tropic marin nitribiotic bacteria and dr tims ammonia to kick start the cycle. So was expecting something to happen hahahaha. Would appreciate it if you guys could help out

With dry sand and rock, even with bottled bacteria it's going to take a bit. I'd lay off the sauce and just dose a little ammonia every few days and only test every few days. Don't bother with water changes until your tank is cycled — just let the bacteria grow and do its thing.

Patience... :)

Easy fix

see how at 8 ppm he was actually cycled, not stuck, thats key.

you aren’t at 8 ppm anyway a seneye would show hundredths or thousandths after using Dr Tims.
