Im using the newest version of doc Tim's ammonium chloride and wanted to know how much ml or oz do I need for a 139g system? After initially dosing to 2ppm how much do I need after? Do I check everyday and if it goes down to zero I re dose again?

And how much would I need to get to 2ppm on a 139g?

that was also answered in the other thread. either go by the instructions on the bottle, or do a test in a 5 gallon bucket of saltwater and then do the math for 139g.

Everything above is good advice I Dose to what they say will give you 1. Test if it is truly 1 then dose the same amount again. If not then I adjust it. We are growing bacteria and 2 is a general number they suggest to get to enough bacteria to process a small fish load. 1 is fine 2.5 is fine. Just go slow with adding fish.

It's really important to actually follow the instructions of Dr Tims, if you do not, you will likely get into trouble.

Per Dr Tim, 20ml for 100g will get you to 2ppm. You let the ammonia and the NITRITE both zero out, then you dose again, the same amount to bring the ammonia back to 2ppm. Repeat until ammonia and NITRITE both drop to zero overnight.
