Hello guys , i am new in reef tank , my cycle completed with the help of live rock , today i introduced 2 new fish in my tank , i also notice my Amonia & nitrate levels , and i added required amount of Seachem Safe ; so now what should i do ? Wait for amonia to come down ? Or water change ? Or everything is fine ? Please guide me

I bet you had no original problem here


those additives cause false reads.

post pics of your rock

I bet its skip cycle rock 100%. that ammonia looks zero anyway above, nice api test you have there most would be opaque green :)


to define skip cycle live rock we are predicting:

comes from a bin at the pet store marked live rock, in water, likely has animals attached to it or in the tank its in.

has pigments on it, coralline if lucky. attached animals or algae, so that we know its not just painted live rock.

Hello i introduce Live rock 2 months back i waited for 1 month and then i introduce some snails , like 5 of them then after 1 month means after total 2 months i introduce 2 fish one Nemo & 1 Demcil ..
Also i have this Red & Green algae growing on my rocks what should i do ? Also brown type algae

for sure I have the best way to clean it, but its only awesome if thats a nano reef

we would simply clean up the tank all at once.

if its a large reef that is usually too much work

how many gallons is that reef

That reef tank is 1000% done cycling, the rocks are matured and brought in all bacteria.

that does come in a new tank, but we dont have to entertain it. its possible for your reef to look uninvaded the entire time you own it, that's how mine runs. I refuse the uglies, its a small nano reef.
