Hi all,
At the moment I am running a reefer 170 for 18 months now and I’m cycling my new reefer 350. The plan was to bring all the old rock work (15 kg) over to the 350 once the new rock (9 kg) in the 350 was cycled.
Unfortunately there is Amphidinium present after fighting (and winning) red cyano about 6-8 weeks ago.
I was about to transfer all rock, fish and coral over to my new tank once it’s cycled but now I am in doubt if this is smart to do. I don’t want to introduce it to my new tank.
I pressume to fight the Amphidirium first but it’s only on the sandbed. It has all the typical symptons, no bubbles or strings, increases during the day etc. I don’t have UV but if I am correct that’s not effective with this kind of dino.
I host Turbo snails, Nassarius snails, cleaner shrimps and pepermint shrimp. None of them seem to be effected.
Any words of wisdom?
