2 things I see as a possible problem are reducing the air intake. Also the air has to be pulled through the soda lime like a filter are there holes on the bottom I can't see in the pics

Yeah I drilled a bunch of holes in the bottom of the cylinder. I'll keep an eye on it and make changes if needed

You can oder 5 gallon buckets from airgas for 80$ of that stuff and color changing to

There is a link I think on the first page of this thread for a small 3 pound bag. That's what I bought.

It already has. My PH has never gone over 2.7 at the high point of the day. 2 hours after installing this its reading 3.0.

Order this from airgas if you find your self using alot of it. Brs is more expensive

This method works. I think it is a feasible option depending on tank size. Ime for a large tank it's not cost effective
