I can't believe you are trying to run that little nano skimmer on this beast of a tank.

JK. Glad you were able to get it going and it is performing like you had hoped it would.

Did you get the CaRX up and running as well?

I have all the parts from AE to get it going, I just need the time, and a few john guest fittings from the hardware store and it too will be rocking!!

Things are looking great! I am glad that skimmer is rocking for you now. I love mine. It skims like nothing else I have ever ran. Lifereef I would say is similar in skimmate quality, this beast is just scaled up x10!

Calcium reactor is up and running. This is a little flow through box I made to measure the effluent coming from the reactor. Need to drop that PH down a bit, I’ll play with it more tomorrow!
Interesting idea shouldn’t u make the line go to the bottom of the box? Seems like the water that is below the exit tubing would just sit there forever

Good point, I can adjust the flow in there at any time. The water does get turbulent when the effluent is returning to the tank enough that turnover in there should be good with the chamber size. I’ll play with it some more

I thought the whole point of the ACR not needing a pH probe was that it ran the reactor at CO2 saturation and would open the effluent valve to allow for “dosing” of the saturated solution so it required less tuning. Maybe I don’t quite fully understand it.

Anyway, glad to see you got it up and running and hope all goes smooth for you as you dial it in.

Once dialed in you are correct it does dose the saturated solution precisely.

I’m just doing this to check that all of it is working as designed and to make sure I don’t over do it!!

After many adjustments the CaRx is working great, next step is dial in the dosing... Bill Wann called me the last few nights in a row making sure it’s dialed in and working properly! Super stoked!!
