No, as it said, it was just a random thought that popped into my head: how will you fill this thing. That led me to google looking up commercial RO/DI units.

Filling this is easy! A slide back roof to allow a fire fighting helicopter with one tonne dump bucket to dump the water straight in! Should have the job done in one morning!

Pull it right out of the Great Salt Lake. Salinity might be a little off, but you can fine tune it.

Why not pour all at once?

Because if you pour something that size all at once you would have issues with expansion and cracking, and it would be very hard to form the floor in with the shear pressure of the concrete for the walls. It could blow out, I’ve seen it happen. It’s just better to do the floor first then the walls. You can also put in membranes in the floor porting sticking up for the wall portion during the pour that makes the joints water tight. Concrete will naturally crack there. We do that all the time when pouring walls or massive holding tanks (sewer treatment plants, and fresh water facilities.).
