I would suggest getting a lawyer to write a demand letter to get your money back.
If things go south with the vendor you don’t want to be the last to ask for money - after he goes insolvent.
We have attorneys on staff at my work who are available to help.

I still hope he comes through… but he’s still not responding…

Such a bummer…

Building up some RODI for the saltwater fill up!

That’s a 500 gallon storage tank. I have a 300 gallon along with two 220 gallon tanks inside… time to break out the Intex pool for an additional 1700 gallons. That should get me to where I have pressure on the viewing panels for the final top off fill in the tank (last 1000 gallons).

Goal is to drain the fresh water, rinse and clean the inside. Refill it with RODI then add salt same day so the panels don’t have a chance to move at all (They probably won’t anyway but I’m just trying to make sure all stays the same after a successful water test for 4+ months).

With the new make shift overflow I raised the water height in the tank by just over an inch so the new internal gallons is 4233 gallons. I can go up another few inches just by lengthening the standpipe to 95” deep bringing the internal gallons up to 4544. Still plan on 1000 gallons for the sump with an active water height running with 500 gallons, a water change tank of 500 gallons and a frag tank of a few hundred gallons all connected to the system. Should be just over 5500 gallons all in.

I use two sicce voyager 10’s (4000 gph) and a MP 60 on the holding system. For the last month my SPS acros have been slowly dying off after a year of rocking. Pulled the pump today because it seized and found the rusty impeller swollen up. Kind of bummed but glad I found it.

Guess these are not going to be a good option for the internal flow behind the rockwork in the new tank…

If things don't work out I could build you an acrylic sump. Always happy to support a fellow monster tank keeper. I am in Washington. cheers
Thanks for the offer!

I will be looking into sump building options if I don't hear from Bill Wann over the weekend. Reached out again a few times this week with no response so far.

I have built many tanks, sumps and acrylic things over the years. Was planning on doing this one out of PVC (which I haven't worked with yet). If I end up building a large acrylic sump for this one I think the dimensions will be like 6'x6'x3'or 4'. That would be the best fit for the room if I go with an external skimmer. If I end up doing internal skimmers (if Bill Wann doesn't come through) then I will be going with 8'x4'x3'-4'.
