Hey everyone,

Question:
I recently began feeding heavily and dosing nutrition to get detectable levels of nitrate and phosphate. I have a couple of RBTAs that slowly shrunk over several months to a very small size because my tank was running zero detectable nitrate / phosphate. Two weeks later, my levels are currently:

PO4: .39PPM - Hanna ULR
NO3: .5PPM - Red Sea Nitrate Pro

What levels should I be shooting for to give them the best shot at recovery to full health? I was thinking that ~1.5PPM Nitrate would be a good target, but wasn't sure about Phosphate levels.

Interest check:
Additionally, I wanted to see if anyone else on here would be interested something like a Google Survey with something like the below structure, where some things could be text input, some could be check boxes, major things could be required with some optional, etc. I'm just curious if anyone else would see value in an open source reference (like a Google Sheet of results?) for conditions that the R2R community keeps various anemones in, because if so I'm happy to work on setting something up.

Feel free to tell me if it's a stupid idea or if there's a better way to do something like this, I won't be offended either way!

Example inputs in italic below, I made up some portions that aren't actually applicable to my tank, since I haven't gotten my ATI ICP test results yet and I don't dose Ca/Mg/Alk. On lighting I actually use a DIY LED that I built with 4x AcroStar Pro arrays but wanted to show what an example input for retail systems could be.

Anemone(s) kept:
Multiple Species (Yes/No): No
Species 1: Bubble Tip Anemone (Entacmaea quadricolor)
Number of Species 1: 2
(if BTA) Specimen(s) have bubbly tentacles or long tentacles: 1 bubbly, 1 long
Approximate Sizes: 1", 2.5"

Direct Feeding:
Direct feed (Yes / No): Yes
Food / Frequency: PE Mysis, every other day

Lighting:
Select one: LED / T5 / MH / T5+LED Hybrid
Brand/model(s): 2x Radion G5 Blue + Aquatic Life Hybrid 4x36W T5 - made up for example
Bulbs (if applicable): 4 total - 2x ATI C+, 1x B+, 1x P+ - made up for example
If DIY LED, LEDs used: N/A

If PAR has been tested:
Average PAR at anemone location(s): 320
Sensor: Seneye

Tank Parameters:
Display Volume: 30 Gallons
Length / Width / Height (inches): 35.5 x 15 x 13
Sump Volume: 12 Gallons
Temperature (F): 78
Daily Temperature Swing (if tracked): +/-1
Temperature sensor: Seneye

Major Water Chemistry & Testing:
(Listing the most recent test results)
Salinity (calibrated Yes/No?): 1.026, Yes
Salt Mix: Red Sea Coral Pro
Nitrate / Kit used / Frequency: .5 PPM, Red Sea Nitrate Pro, Weekly
Phosphate / Kit used / Frequency: .39 PPM, Hanna Phosphate ULR, Weekly
Calcium / Kit used / Frequency: 450 PPM, ATI ICP, Monthly- made up for example
Magnesium / Kit used / Frequency: 1450 PPM, ATI ICP, Monthly - made up for example
Alkalinity / Kit used / Frequency: 9.6 dKH, ATI ICP, Monthly - made up for example

(If applicable) Minor/Trace Elements & Testing:
I'm not sure of the best way to get this. I think the simplest and easiest way might be to ask for an ICP testing screenshot or PDF?

Flow:
Again I'm not really sure of the best way to ask for this? I suppose it could be something as simple as low / medium / high?
Powerheads: 2x Maxspect Gyre XF330
Setting: LTC 20% - 40%

(If applicable) Maintenance / Filtration:
Water Change Volume / Frequency: 5 Gallons, every 2 weeks
Skimmer (if applicable): Deltec 600i
Reactor / Reactor media (if applicable): Innovative Marine MiniMax Sump Pro, BRS ROX 0.8 Carbon

(If applicable) Dosing Elements:
Calcium (Amount per day / Brand): 2 mL daily / ATI Essentials Pro #1 - made up for example
Magnesium: 2 mL daily / ATI Essentials Pro #2 - made up for example
Alkalinity: 3 mL daily / ATI Essentials Pro #1 - made up for example

(If applicable) Nutrition Dosing:
Amount per day / brand
Nutrition 1: 6mL daily, Red Sea Reef Energy A
Nutrition 2: 6mL daily, Red Sea Reef Energy B
Nutrition 3: 1.5mL daily, KZ Pohl's Xtra Special

(Optional) Pictures:
I'm actually not sure if Google Surveys can handle pictures so this might be irrelevant anyways, but it could be an option?

I keep mostly softies. I have about 20 rock nems and 1 ritteri nem. I keep my tank at around 4.0ppm to 5.0ppm nitrate, 0.1ppm Phosphate. My alkalinity is 8.9 to 9.1 Tanl temp 78.5F to 80.0F
I cant recall what I kept the bubble tips at when I had them. They will split a lot when happy. Can be good or bad.

.39 is very high for Phosphates. You want to keep phosphates between .03-.05ppm a good # for Nitrates is around 5ppm but that one depends on who you ask. Definitely get those phosphates under control. High phosphates can cause excessive algae growth as well.

They need nutrients I try to get at least .1 phosphates and 10 nitrates. Believe it or not the zooxanthellae in Anemones actually need phosphates to grow and multiple They are photosynthetic algae that have a symbiotic relationship with the nems , adding more color to the anemone.

Anemones can tolerate fairly high phosphates and love high nitrates. I would aim for 10 at least on your nitrates as it is a food source for them. I have 30+ anemones currently and my phosphates average around .50 with nitrates at 35. I have had them in tanks with nitrates as high as 120 and they got huge 14”.
